A behavior technician will come to your home to assist in teaching skills and managing behaviors that affect your child’s daily living. Skills addressed can include the following but is defined by each families needs: communication, grooming and interacting with family members.
A Behavior Technician will accompany individuals as they learn to use their newly acquired skills out in the community. Skills addressed can include sitting at the table at a restaurant, safely crossing the street and learning to shop for food at a grocery store.
The BCBA will work with your child’s school to develop an individualized behavior plan for your child. This can include working with the school team to integrate your child into the mainstream classes, and in some cases accompanying your child to school to help them integrate into the classroom.
We work as a team to provide the best possible outcomes for your child.
A BCBA will work with your family to assist you in learning how to help your child learn and use the skills addressed by the behavior technician. This approach allows for greater learning from the child throughout the day and can help your family navigate behavior challenges when our trained technicians are not present.
